ELKO — Since 2001, more than 3,600 soldiers have deployed from the Nevada Army National Guard and many of the younger members are ignoring their veteran benefits. “The new generation of veterans doesn’t use the programs that are offered to them enough,” said Sgt. Brandon Hurst, armory manager for the 593rd Transportation Company’s rear detachment of Elko.
